One style mission you play as a sniper and cover a friendly. Some missions are more gimmicky but still short. This discrepancy doesn’t affect that much since the game tells you where to go at all time, you get in over there and shoot everyone and continue in a very linear form in very short missions. A great example of this is when motion control doesn’t work unless you zoom in but could do a lot if you could use motion control at all times. The combat is very arcade-like even though it appears like a very realistically styled game.Īiming with the switch is wonky, and the motion controls for the aim can help slightly but don’t work half the time. When each of the parts ends, it seems to end right when the most exciting part happens and kills the mood. Many of these parts don’t seamlessly connect to what you just finished and don’t have elements or even characters there were right beside you. Each zone and each level is divided up in multiple parts to the point you may run into a loading screen every few minutes as you complete a small part. The story can feel fast-paced, rushed, and confusing. Modern Combat Blackout has more flaws then pluses. Modern Combat also offers a multiplayer system that allows you to fight other players with what you unlocked. The game plays similar to call of duty but adds more of an arcade feel with a realistic look. As you level up, you gain access to more classes, and as you use the class you earn better equipment for that class. Modern Combat Blackout is a first-person shooter where you fight a terrorist-like army. In Retrospect – PC Review - December 19, 2022.
